Kitabi Eco Center provides a wide range of accommodation options in form of rooms and Camps. Each of the rooms has a bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet, a bed/s with a mosquito net/s, sitting area with a chair for relaxing while taking in views of the nearby tea plantation and the verdant Nyungwe Forest.
The King’s Palace
This room is grass-thatched to reflect traditional Rwandan culture and allows guests to have the exceptional experience of living/sleeping as a “King” or “Queen”. The King’s Palace has a comfortable Queen bed, and warm furnishings and is ideal for a couple or a family/group of 3 with children who wish to stay together.
Guests that stay here are guaranteed of enjoying a personalized tour of the King’s Palace and learning about Rwandan traditions from the local guide/Manager, having your own fire at night inside the Palace, a delicious and hearty breakfast in the comfort of the Palace grounds, and many other services/amenities.
Camping
Visitors of Kitabi Eco Center can also spend overnight/s under the stars in the modern Tents. There is an option for guests to carry their own Tents and Camping equipment or use the Tents provided at the Eco Center. You can Camp at the Prince’s Palace or the Campsite.

There is a restaurant at Kitabi Eco Center that serves delicious and organic food, prepared by some of the most experienced chefs with many years of cooking in Kigali, Nyungwe, and Huye (Butare). Guests also have the option of enjoying breakfast surrounded by the Nyungwe tea plantation or while taking in the magnificent views of the tea plantation and lush Nyungwe forest.
There is also a small bar/Lounge area where visitors can converge and interact with friends and family to share ideas, safari experiences, and drinks (local beers, cocktails, spirits, Wine, soft drinks, and coffee/tea).
