The cost of a permit that allows tourists to do chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe is at US$ 90.00 per person for a single trek and only valid for the day of trekking. While in Nyungwe Forest visitors can also take part in Canopy walk experience. The only walk of its kind in East Africa, this breathtaking construction hangs 60 metres above the forest floor between giant trees and towers, revealing a stunning view of the flora and fauna, both below and above. An iconic experience, not to be missed! Visiting the Canopy is charged US$ 60.00 per person and one is required to secure a permit for this Canopy experience far in advance.
