Speaking during media training on Environmental reporting organized in July 2024 by Fojo Media Institute and Rwanda Environment Journalists, Protais Niyigaba, the Nyungwe National Park Manager pointed out that the proposed adventure starts in 2025 as works are already in high gear. All required preparations are in place- needed equipment has been established, and an environment impact assessment report conducted and submitted to the Ministry of Environment.

When is the best time to do ziplining in Nyungwe Forest National Park?
The dry season (June to September and December to February) is considered the best time for ziplining in Nyungwe Forest National Park, although you can relish the adventure in other seasons as well. In the dry season (March to May, and October to November), the temperatures range between 20°C (during the day) and 11°C (during nights). This period is generally not advisable for ziplining due to slippery conditions and the possibility of downpours.
